Anchored — Privacy Policy
What the app keeps, and where
On your iPhone: the routines you build, their steps, your history of finished routines, and a few settings.
On your Apple Watch: a copy of your routines, the routine you are running, and the times you recently finished each one. The Watch also keeps a small copy for the optional watch-face complication, so it can show your next routine's name and time. That copy stays on the Watch.
Your iPhone sends routines to your Watch, and your Watch sends finished routines back, using Apple's WatchConnectivity. This happens only between your own iPhone and Watch. None of it is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, your Anchored data may be included in those backups, like any app's. Backups are provided by Apple and covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Notifications
Reminders and step cues are local notifications, scheduled on your Apple Watch itself. There is no push server. They show the names of your routines and steps, and the cue you wrote, such as “After I pour coffee.” You can turn them off at any time in your Watch's notification settings.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is sold through Apple's App Store using Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details, name, or address. Purchases are governed by Apple's Media Services terms. You can restore a purchase from the app's About screen.
Crash reports and App Store numbers
If you have turned on Share With App Developers (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), Apple gives us crash reports and statistics about how the app is used, with personal information removed. We also see App Store totals, such as downloads and sales. We use these only to fix problems and improve Anchored. You can turn sharing off at any time in that same setting.
If you email us
If you write to support@mirandesystems.com, including through Send feedback in the app, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach. Send feedback opens your own email app with the app and iOS version filled in; nothing goes out until you send it. We use your email only to reply to you. Our mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace. We keep your messages only as long as we need them to help you, and we delete them whenever you ask. To ask, email us from the same address.
This website
These Anchored pages are hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records basic request details, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you asked for, to deliver and protect the site. We don't use those records to identify anyone. We add no cookies, analytics, or trackers, and these pages load nothing from other companies. See Vercel's privacy policy.
Who else is involved
We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. The only other companies involved are Apple (the App Store, purchases, device backups, and the link between your own iPhone and Watch), Google Workspace (our email), and Vercel (this website). Each handles its part under its own privacy policy. These companies may process data in the United States.
Children
Anchored is rated 4+. The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
Your control
- Deleting Anchored from your iPhone and Apple Watch removes all of its data from those devices. Copies inside your existing iCloud or computer backups go away as those backups are replaced or deleted.
- You can turn off notifications in your Watch's notification settings, and crash-report sharing in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
- The app sends us nothing, so the only data of yours we can hold is email you send us. To get a copy of it or have it deleted, write to us from the same address.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
